Rebuilding Relationship

Dear Jasmine,

My boyfriend of 1 1/2 years and I just moved in together about 5 months ago. Things were going great the first 8 months of the relationship. Now things are falling apart between us and we are falling apart right now.

He stayed at his dad last night and wants me to tell him if I want him to move out of not. But I told him that I needed a few days to think about it because it is a big decision for me and I don’t want to make the wrong choice. It wouldn’t have been so bad but I have a daughter from a previous relationship and they just love each other and I don’t want to hurt her in this either. Please Help me ASAP.

Dear Misty,

In every relationship there are up and downs. If you two have the will to work out your problems, then I would suggest you two come to an agreement on how to approach it. Perhaps you guys will need professional counseling to get you through this rough patch. The only question that lies is whether or not you two are willing to put in the effort to rebuild your relationship with one another.

I would suggest that you two give it a shot and see if you guys can work things out with each other. If you two can’t even agree on how to rebuild your relationship, that could be a sign to end things. However, if you two are able to cooperate with one another and take a chance to rebuild your relationship. If you two are able to overcome this, it will only make your relationship together much stronger.

However, don’t force anything because at the end it will only hurt you, your boyfriend and your daughter. Even if you two decide to end your relationship with each other, there is no reason that he can’t visit her sometimes. If you two just can’t be together, there is no reason to stay together because you will just be subjecting your daughter to a dysfunctional relationship. So I think you should try to work things out, but if its not possible

Always here,
Jasmine
