Dear Jasmine,
I really need to start dating. My boyfriend of 9 years left me for two other girls. I have been extremely depressed that I am seeing professional help. I feel like I should start dating again, I want to give it a try. I signed up on a dating-on-line website. I am 52 years old and I received a message from a 32-year-old man.
He says he is serious about meeting me. I am afraid he would change his mind after meeting me in person. All the other possible dates are not what I expected. I have been on this website about 10 months or so. Could it be me or should I give it more time to meet other gentlemen?

Dear MR,
I think it is too soon for you to stop dating. You are still healing from your breakup with your ex boyfriend and I don’t think any relationship you get into right now will be a healthy one. You need to deal with your breakup and accepted it before you can truly move on and be happy with someone else. I know it gets lonely but it sure beats having even more drama when you are going through so much already.
Don’t rush into dating anyone until you have gotten over your breakup with your ex boyfriend because it will probably end badly and give you even more problems to deal with. Give yourself some more time to heal from the last relationship so you can start fresh on a new one. Give your next relationship at least a chance by being 100% yourself again.
Always here,
Jasmine
