I just recently turned 10 years old and I have a problem with my sisters friends. I know that her friends smoke and maybe do drugs. I am scared for my sister because I don’t want her to smoke or do drugs. I was outside in the backyard this one day and saw one of them smoking, but they did not see me. I am not sure what I should do. Should I tell my parents? I don’t want my sister to hate me

Dear Carrie,
I think that it is a good sign that you have not seen your sister smoking or doing drugs. I don’t think you should jump to the conclusion that they are doing drugs just because they are smoking. I don’t think you should “tell on” your sister, but I think you should bring it up with your parents. Perhaps let them know that you smell someone smoking and your parents will figure it out it was them. Or perhaps you can just tell them that the smoking smell bothers you. Hopefully it won’t make your sister too upset, but your only looking out for her, which I think is great.
