Dear Jasmine,
I have been chatting to a guy for nearly a year now he lives in Scotland and I live in the Midlands. We get along really well as friends and I had feelings for him which he knew, but he was seeing someone then finished with her and told me he was going away on vacation.
Then I get a text saying he hadn’t gone away but needed space to think and he realized he didn’t want to settle down with anyone. When Valentines Day came around, I sent him a valentines card saying to someone special and he was over the moon with it told me by text he was coming down to spend some weeks with me.
This was the first time we had met, so when he came on Valentines Day, it went well until he started putting me down (IE. my accent). I took it as funny but he got rude telling me I was like cat from Eastenders.
I told him to quiet sharply and that I wasn’t going to take this from anyone and then he told me he thinks he should go. So he got a train within the hour back to Scotland.
Now he has told me he won’t be down in April and I am not his type of women he wants to be with. He also told me he was in contact with two other women when he was with me. It’s like he just came down for a holiday and doesn’t care how I am feeling. He wants to stay friends but he won’t be coming down and that I am just not right for him. Please help.
Thank you,
Sarah

Dear Sarah,
What you need to do is to get over this guy. This is why Internet relationships don’t work out most of the time. You chat with someone and you get along great and you fall in love with the person you chat with. You have this ideal fantasy of how this person is or how this person looks but in reality it could be far from your imagination.
Sounds like this guy is rather shallow and you are better off without him. He already told you that you are not his type, what more does he need to tell you? Digest what he has said and cut your loses and move on. There is no need to dwell on a guy who obviously doesn’t care about you.
Always here,
Jasmine
