Dear Jasmine,
My roommate will ask me about every few months if I am mad at him, simply because I am laying low and not going out and socializing as much. Sometimes I like to be alone with crafts and music, its nearly impossible to do so with out getting all the questions like are you okay, what’s wrong, are you mad at
me?Of course I am not mad and trying to explain this is never easy. I feel like if I am not giving my full attention he mopes around the house. Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? We are both adults in our 30’s but I fell like I live with a 2 year old.
I have been trying to keep my cool for about 9 months now and I am fed up with being called the insensitive BAD guy!

Dear Lori,
It sounds like you have been annoyed for long enough. I think that the only way to really get it in his head is to tell him that him asking you all the time if you are mad is bothering you because you are not mad at him. Tell him if you are ever mad at him that you will let him know so he doesn’t have to continue to ask you.
If he still drives you crazy, perhaps it is time to consider getting a new roommate? That can be tough as well so you probably should think it through before you make a decision.
Always here,
Jasmine
