I am 19 years old and have been with my boyfriend for over a year. Recently we were on a break that lasted about 4-5 weeks. In the third week of the break I slept with my boyfriends younger cousin.
My boyfriend and his cousin live together. My boyfriend and I have gotten back together. He has many questions on what I was doing while we were on the break. He can be very jealous. Should I tell him?

Dear Jessica,
I think in this case you should tell him, I mean this is his cousin and they do live together! I don’t think he will be very happy but you will be unhappy in this relationship if you continue to hide this from him. Do the right thing and tell him. If your relationship is strong enough, it will survive but if it doesn’t then perhaps it just wasn’t meant to be.
Either way, you shouldn’t start off rebuilding a relationship with this secret that you are hiding from him. It isn’t fair to him and it isn’t fair to your relationship. Even if you don’t tell him, I am almost sure he will find out. Better it come from you then from someone else.
