Fired for No Reason

Dear Jasmine,

My ex-coworker is completely obsessed with our boss and it is completely obvious. I was fired because I believe she had a friend of hers call our work and make outrageous accusations and lies about me being the one having an affair with him and some other married men in our community.

It conveniently occurred while I had gone to lunch and it was only her, the boss, his wife, and their 2 sons. When I returned from lunch, she couldn’t tell me fast enough about the horribly embarrassing call and the sound of amusement and glee in her voice was heart wrenching.

She tried to act as if she was being my friend, but at the end of the day I was fired! It is absolutely untrue about me being with my boss or any married men and I want to know how to get the story straightened out and how to get back at her so that her job is affected.

Dear Missy,

I think you need to file a compliant and possibly you can sue your company for firing you without any proof. There is no reason you should get fired unless they had proof that you were having this affair. I would approach your boss first and ask for reasoning why you were fired and let them know that you did not do anything and that getting fired is unfair to you.

If they refuse to listen to you, then I would sought out some legal advice and see what you can do about this situation because it sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one on you.

Always here,
Jasmine
